Several reports have come in over the past few weeks about
a major outbreak in the Follansbee, West Virginia area. Various
sources claim the outbreak had at least fifty confirmed undead, and as
many as a hundred and fifty people quarantined under suspicion of
infection.
One of our sources referred us to several people who might
provide useful firsthand information on the outbreak but almost all of
them refused to comment, often times in a fearful manner.
During our investigation, we received a letter from one of
the witnesses to the situation there. The full and unedited letter can
be read in the Editorials
section.
Follansbee after the latest bout of 'civil
unrest.'
Here In the
northeast, We're still receiving similar reports that you've heard time
and time again. "Friends get bit by psychos and sent to the hospital,
and held under guard never to be heard from again." Nothing new here.
It's sad that situations like these have become the norm.
We're greatly alarmed this time around because we received
reports from a little further south than what we're used to. That
leads us to believe that the situation is growing faster than
anticipated.
One of the southern reports was sent to us by someone who
called
himself "CTP" from Memphis Tennessee. This report doesn't tell us
what's going on as much as the idea that the government is trying to
keep it from us. We felt it best to quote his report verbatim.
"I was on my way to visit the elderly woman down the street as I do
every weekend, when I see an ambulance and a couple of police cars
parked in front of her house. I asked one of the officers what was
going on, but he ignored me. When I looked up towards her front door,
they were hauling her out in restraints. It looked like she had
bedsores or some kind of skin disease because chunks were missing, and
it had a gray tone to it. They placed her in the ambulance, and that's
the last I have seen of her. No one will allow me to visit her."
THIS JUST IN!
We received word from a 23 year old man in Olean, New York who is going
by the alias "TheFadedOne". Apparently the situation up there is as bad
as what we've been hearing. The radio and television systems are still
broadcasting, however.
Our contact claimed to see a homeless man who seemed to be
over-dosing on some sort of narcotic. Being the Good Samaritan, he went
to help only to find what appeared to be blood pouring from his eyes
and mouth.
It saddens us to report that our friend here had been
bitten. "TheFadedOne", please keep in touch to let us know how you are
doing. I'm sure after reading this, your report will have touched many
lives,
and they'll want to hear of your progress.
